in the eye of the Huricane Wilma ....

The Mayan empire presented the windy side - hurricane Wilma destroyed complete parts of the famous Rivera Maya and left a mess... The hurricane hit the infrastructure, the electricity was offline for couple of days. Good for us, that our partner had enough gasoline to run his compressor ;-) The caves were sometimes unaccessable due to the "water wilderness" around the entrances. The water itself was quite tannic and visibility was not that brilliant as it used to be. To reach the entrances was often hard, fallen trees blocked the jungle roads. When entering the underwater caves, the visibility was quite good, we noticed little bit more flow.
We dive "The Wall" in front of Akumal using Trimix.
